Luckily the first time it was under warranty and today its just happened again, no idea how much its going to cost. The cabin is quite noisy, especially over bumps with creaking, I suppose thats to be expected as the roof is not a solid stucture, but it can get a bit annoying. The worst thing is when it rains.

September 2010. i have the same problem with my 206, i took it into my local peugeot dealers who tell me i need new roof hydraulic fluid pipes + ram, the problem is the seals, however peugeot only supply them as a complete unit and as such the cost of getting it done was quoted as £970.00 !! He was told that there was a reset button just inside the passenger locking mecanism where the roof locks into the windscreen. He got a pen jiggled it about and that was it problem solved. The garage told him that there is sometimes a blip with the computer controlling it and tells the the wrong info ie the roof is shut when in fact it is open.
1. Followed instructions to close the roof manually. This you can normally find on your cars manual. Alternatively have a look at video above for the manual closing of the roof. 2. I owned a 206 2.0 se CC for a year, a 2002 year model. I never had any problems with the roof mechanism or with any water leaks, in fact the only repair needed was it cracked the exhaust manifold.
