You do not do anything to manage your workshops. Just make sure you are making the right stuff in the right town. If you are not making any money, change your production. You can check your profits in your clan tab. The person you buy it from retains whatever he was called. #1.
Speaking with a Worker and choosing to either sell the Workshop or change its production. This involves several loading screens and a lot of walking. Thankfully however, there is another method that is much quicker. Press L to open the Clan menu. At the top of the screen are several new options. Select the Other tab.
On the world map, sometimes I see a symbol above my town's banner. It kind of looks like a catapult. I've tried googling this and have had no luck. If you know what this is, please tell me. Even better: if you know of a list of symbols for the game online, please provide a link. Thanks.
