Heres my work order, there’s a TSB referenced with an updated wiring harness. Edit to remove comments about the wiring harness being located in the dash.Step1 – Reset the MMI. It may be glitching. The software that runs the MMI may just be experiencing a glitch or crash, which can also be completely temporary. This generally happens if the system has too AudiA4 B8 proximity sensors not working. When the key battery starts to go dead the door handle sensors can begin to not work because it doesn't pick up the signal. Try changing the key battery. Yup this was my exact issue. Locking door from the button got harder and harder and eventually stopped working altogether.

Doesn't matter whether the headlights are in sidelight, dipped beam or auto mode - it's all the same.If12v is not present, then pull the relay and check for 12v at the term 30 supply. If you have 12v at term 30 (which is always on) and not at the fuse term 87 side, then likely the relay is not working. So I'd pull one of the fuses and check for 12v when the engine is on at the correct side of the fuse socket.
