Hey, when you've hit 80, you'll have enough points to unlock all your core stuff. Now that you're playing expansion content, you'll also be able to unlock all elite specs for all classes. Try and keep an eye out for HoT Hero Point (HP) trains. All of the PoF ones can be done solo and they all reward 10 points each.
Honestly, just having the 30 HP into unlock the Specialization which allows usage of the weapon should unlock the weapon for core. There aren't any specs that have weapons that are specifically designed around a particular specialization, to the point where they'd cause an issue if used outside of it.

Heart of Thorns still has some hero point trains in LFG if you have that expansion. Otherwise, central Tyria has a lot of quick ones, but you'll want to get the majority from PoF maps.
